Newbie with questions

Hi all,

Im new on here and am 22 from staffordshire UK.

Im looking into getting into the off roading/ green laneing thing. Having looked around i have decided that the Pajero is what im going to go for. I like the look of the LWB and im hoping that from what ive read and general jap reputation its going to be more reliable than the land rover that my friends have.

Few questions tho, i have found a J (92) plate Pajero Exceed 2.5 LWB for £750. I just wanted a few things explained:

1) How do you activate the rear diff lock and how do you know if its on?

2) When it was in 4WD i noticed the front wheels on the display were flashing and the rear wheels were solid - is this right?

3) The diff lock light lit on the display in the middle diff kind of position on the 4wd display.

4) The climate control was apparently faulty so it has all been taken out, how hard is it to pick up the parts to put the A/C back in and at approx cost?

5) Anything in particular i need to check when i go back tomorrow for a better look around it and possibly leave a deposit.
