Ingersoll Rand / Chicago Pneumatic any good?

Buying a compressor for my workshop but don't know much about what's quality / what's not. Got a line on an old Ingersoll Rand 25E10L belt drive single piston compressor, supposedly 9cfm according to the owner but only a 1.5kW motor. 50L thereabouts tank has a little bit of surface rust as you'd expect after 20-30 (?) years but is generally in good nick and the compressor runs great.
Comes with:
Chicago Pneumatic 788 air drill (2750rpm)
Chicago Pneumatic 788H air drill (500rpm)
Chicago Pneumatic 734 air wrench
Chicago Pneumatic 721 air wrench
Chicago Pneumatic 828 ratchett
Chicago Pneumatic 860 grinder (dremel style)
Atlas Copco 10" flap sander
Samson pressure gun (bottle for liquid)
Samson paint gun
Jamec-Pem tyre inflater
Collection of Koken air sockets (20 or so)
Collection of regs and air/water separators
Bit of rust on the tools but all work fine. Can get it for $500 - is this a decent price for this setup?

Ingersoll Rand & Chicago Pneumatic were top brand names in air compressors /air tools. They are rebuildable not frow aways. For what you're getting it's a great price.
Cheers Dave..

CP is a good brand but I have had better reliability from my Bluepoint rattle guns & air ratchet.
Jamec -Pem is about as good as it gets for a tyre inflater, the most accurate if not thrown around.
Koken tools are top notch, have a few stud removers that are Koken & they do the trick every time with no problems.
Cant say with the other stuff as I have not had any experience with it.

Bargain just for the tools alone.

Certainly a good brand and a good range of items for the money but really I'd see it as buying the tools and getting a ratty old spare compressor with them. An old 9cfm compressor is borderline for use in a home workshop so I'm hoping you don't mean business.
Probably a good starting point but before long if you really start using air tools and more so start spraying stuff you'll wish you had a good bit more than 9cfm and a 50l tank.

I have an old Ingersoll Rand compressor (about 60L i think) that I bought off a bloke I used to work for on weekends. He would never drain the water from it or look after it. He bought a new Snap-On compressor so I got it off him for $100, took it home, drained about 10L of milky sludge out of it and it works a treat! Its probably at least 20 years old but its great for doing stuff at home and still packs a punch.
*Edit* Just had a look at mine its an Ingersoll Rand 3E12, 2.2HP motor, 12cfm with a 50L tank.

Thanks guys - that's what I wanted to hear
Am picking it up tomorrow. Main reason for wanting a compressor is that I just bought a 40A plasmer cutter and a TIG welder - need compressed air for the plasma and a flap disk air sander is nice for tidying up welds. Will post up some pics of the gear once I have it in my hot little hands
