Buying an 80 series + adding suspension mods

Hey Guys,
Have recently been tossing up between buying either a 100 series 80 series or gu patrol and have pretty well decided that If I want to put any mods on it im going to have to buy the cheaper of the 3, the 80.
I have been looking around the forums at everyone elses cars and have decided that if I end up buying one it will be the factory turbo'd gxl model. The main reason for the gxl model is so I dont have the barn doors on the back and that if I decide to cut it into a ute I can use the back door on the gxl model as the back window in the ute I have a 75 series cruiser at the moment with a 1hz motor and it goes pretty good but really wish I had the turbo there for abit more get up and go
The real question that I want to ask is how much suspension lift and body lift is legal in queensland, I have heard that its 2 inch's for both?? Is this true?? .. I would love to just stick a 5 inch lift kit under it but im not sure queensland transport would be that impressed
The two options that im thinking of at the moment are - number (1) A 3 inch lift kit from Suspension Stuff and a 2 inch body lift. I have no idea what a body lift costs or what the best ones are to buy (have heard that the chezzy racing ones are alright) so if anyone has any knowledge on this that would be really helpful
Option number (2) is just a 4-5 inch lift kit from Suspension Stuff and radius arms from snake racing.
Option number (2) is obviously going to be more expensive but if im able to run it some how legaly then id rather do that then a body lift. Am I able to get a engineering cert for the car if I lift it 5 inches in just supension? and will this save my arse if im pulled over by transport?
Another question I have is if i put 35's on it will the stock axles be strong enough?
If anyone has any ideas on what I should or shouldn't do that would be great
Cheers,
Ryan
