Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi all i have a 93 gq patrol efi petrol/gas today the power lead for the winch rubbed through and earth out on the body dash lights flicked stereo cutting in and out ect i disconnected the winch at the battery and every is working as normally but the problem i have noticed is that it has lossed power just wounding would something like this would have spiked the computer and but it in limp mode???? any body got any ideas thanks

if u want u can disconnect the battery for a good few hours, then reconnect it , if its done something to the chip that should reset it
