Then you get heavier rate springs.
Sim79 will nodoubt have his 38's with 2inch lift photos available for posting soon. and 37's with same.
Small lift, and guard trim is your best option.

2" plus guard cuttting will give you enough for 36's
my shorty is currently sitting on 2" spring + 2" body for 37's
i bash the crap out of the chassis over the terrain i normally drive but it gets the job done and the patrol chassis can take some abuuuuuuuuuuse

yeah i didnt want to go to heavy rate spring then it rides like s*it and still want some flex so just looking at the best way to do it.. yeah i have 2 inch lift ute with 37s on it.

I'd have to disagree wth that, I have heavy duty Dobinsons and i put in Procomp shocks to allow for the heavier coil, rides sweet and have flex!
can"t have flex on 2" lift, how long a shock are you going to fit? If its an off the shelf kit you are limited for shock space anyway.
HD springs are fine, extra HD are too stiff.
The swb will be very capable twin locked running 35"+ tyres and 2" lift. Lift for ground clearence though.
No lift with big tyres is all wank, you don't diff out but get hung up. Lift does add stability in harsh conditions, not speed but big holes, rocks and ledges.
I've got a 3 inch lift in my shorty. Lovell coils and shocks. 16mm longer lower arms, drop boxes (they spaced the gearbox enough). no panhards. no vibration handles well on and off road. only 32" bighorns to keep it reasonably legal though..
move closer to the harbour, you'll have a handfull towin your boat with 36's on a shorty. just roll with 33 or 35 and stop waistin money and buy lockers.

mum can't afford it anymore! hahaha
oh and another thing the reason we run softer in the rear up hear is cause we race with our right foot and shorty's need lighter springs in the rear or they kick up rear bad when you jump them.
