Hey.
i'm looking into doing this and i recall seeing 1 done and another guy who was starting to do one.
just wondering if anyone remembers seeing this 1 anywhere?
i hosted pics for him but his email doesnt work now so i cant contact him.
i hosted the pics like last year i think.
i just wanna find out if any of the body mounts line up and how many have to be changed, and what the go is for steering.

in the middle of this atm
the rear cab mounts are close but do not line up
rad support need to be fabed up
if it wasnt pissing down atm id be able to give you more of an idea on the front mounts
engine positon/combination will of course dictate a lot

i was planning on using either the 4.5L 80 series petrol motor or an ls1.
how hard would ya say the swap over is?
i'm an apprentice boilermaker so won't have much trouble fabbing anything up.
any info is good info so look forward to seeing yours

auto or manual will be different crossmember locations on the chassis
auto is about 60mm from memory further back

i don't beleive in automatic gearboxs.
only owned 1 auto car and the gearbox blew up.
have bought plenty of auto's for donor cars and i can cook an auto box pretty quick

Not sure what ever happened to this truck, but am pretty sure it was a 75 cab on a 80 seriess chassis.

Yes Brett built this truck and none of the mounts lined up because he moved the cab back approx 100mm for better approach angle

the rear mounts are close but miss by 30mm
the fronts miss by 80mm
It is not a bolt on swap,
75 cab mounts sit higher on the chassis than 80's as well
ill link a photo later of my modified rear 75 ones v's a a standard one

Looks a bit like Brendens from Scenic Rim, just a different colour.
