Under the old laws or standards could you get 33/12.5 tyres engineered on a patrol ??

Yeah you could, but it would be a matter of how much it would cost to have (if any) mods done. Will require things like an engineers report and brake efficiency tests and so on.

Apparently I can get my GU engineered on 35s. (35x12.5R15).
If everything is done right, the lifts does not exceed the max 150mm and the headlights are not higher than 1200mm you should be right.
That was before the new laws though. How they will affect that I don't really know yet

Tyres yes - possibly...
suspension -
From another forum
Don't even bother trying to get your car engineered before july 31, as I understand it, all engineers have been told that any suspension mods will not be authorised between 17th and 31 july, so effectively the cut off date was last week.
So going interstate wont help you either.

Track increase can be solved by getting wheels with a more positive offset. Then swap your wheels back after its been engineered.
