I am 9/10's through the conversion myself...

I am running an new crate L76, 4L65E Auto, patrol transfer, patrol diffs, custom coil over suspension with aroun 12" of lift, trinagulated 4 link rear, 5 link front, 35's, custom alloy fuel tank, 7 inch flares etc. etc. etc.

Not sure how much i have spent so for but I would say at least $25k not including the CJ7. Can be done a lot cheaper with second hand parts via a doner car, I have gone everything new as I couldn;t find a decent doner car at the time and got the crate motor from holden delivered to my door for $3,200.

Definately over it but with the thought of it being finished in the next 4 weeks makes it all worthwhile...

Well I've now given you a benchmark to beat... The motor is a L76, bit more reliable than a genIII and with an extra 50kw stock. After the tune and exhaust it should bring it a bit over 300kw at the flywheel.

They are close to 300kw stock. A nice baby torquer cam, some 1.7 roller rockers and decent breathing and 300kw at the wheels is easy but watch the torque climb off the charts. :D
