What do we do?

We camp on the property. Have fires(maybe), and a night run(for the non alcoholics amongst us)

Berridale: CAMPING or NO CAMPING: Serious

In light of recent discussions I felt this was probably needed. It’ll settle a few arguments.
THE RESULTS OF WHICH SHOULD BE FINAL!

So give your serious opinion.

The ZOOK talk around the fire will be the highlight of the weekend. Now if we were driving big flash poofy $100,000 cruisers then we would need the accommodation.

I suggest you do a body swap before hand so that you are running a soft top body... Any car with doors, a windscreen or a roof will be labelled soft too.

True but that premium will equal bed + hot shower + light + a lot of other stuff... it also means that there is no need to hire porta shower / porta look type stuff...

You'd better get the next batch of club t-shirts printed with "Soft" written on them somewhere - that seems to be the term of choice on recent club outings

dunno if everyone's gonna be keen to pay much for accom if we can camp for free tho... portaloo hire has gotta be heaps cheaper (could be wrong).

bed = thermarest, shower = when i get back home, light = fluro from cig lighter in car, other stuff = meh :D

depends on how much i spose, but when ya include travel/fuel, food, maybe club membership and then add accom, it ends up being $$

the weekend needs to be as cheap as possible. kinda like our cars, the cheapest thing that has the potential to be better than everything else.

When I was in tassy we went down to hobart, and because we were to cheap we took some swags and parked next to a wildlife reserve. Funny thing is when we got back from the night club that night it was raining. So we layed out the swags and jumped in thinking that we wouldn't get wet. All I can say is some swags are not water proof and $500 goose down sleeping bags don't like getting wet. And most of all, trying to sleep in a puddle is Grimace (even when your full of kilkenny)!!
haha, i'm tellin you, my camp was hard to find on Saturday night!
then i shared my bed with 2 second tom...
that's why i always string up a tarp over my swag or sleep under the car, all while parked on a slight hill.

Seriously dude .. get a better swag .. mine is very waterproof (well on the bottom @ least .. it has kept me dry in conditions form downpours in the desert, to heavy rains in the tropical north .. (maybe tassie water is wetter ?? :? ) Oh and goose down while camping .. LA DE DA .. dacron and jacks\wine\vodka\beer\etc does me just fine :D

It was me i'll admit to it.

As for tassy their is a bit more to the story, like the fact that I was to drunk to do the swag up properly. The swag was a friends from over their and it was pretty crap. I mentioned the bag coz I had only just got it and now all the down clumped up. Which kinda annoyed me!

dacron??? What is that stuff. It was hard enough finding a goose down bag in wa. We don't get whether for that kind of stuff.

Although I was pissed about not getting any sleep that night its now funny to look back and laugh.
