To drop the complete front end out of a GQ, there are the two long heavy cast arms on each side, can undo the nut but can't turn the bolt in the bush and dont have oxy.

Appreciate any tips

Lube it up and wait until you can tap it out. You might find that if the car has been lifted without any castor correction, there will be a lot of twisting force that the radius arms are putting on the diff.

If there is excessive twist on the diff, you can use a bottle jack or similar to rotate the back of the diff up a bit to releive the pressure.

Thanks Coxy, the major problem is that I have bought the front end out of the vehicle. The bloke could'nt undo the front bolts so he just cut those heavy arms with the angle grinder. Might have to take that one to an engineer and get them heated. My ones are still in the car so i'll start working them with CRC. Both vehicles were standard, no lifts

So its rusted in by the sounds of it? There's no other reason it would be jammed.

If they are rusted solid and there's no hope of pressing/punching the bolts out, you could roll the diff upside down and cut the bolts on the inside of the mounting plates (or use a grinder with a thin cutting disc).

From memory there is a little bit of flex/space between the radius arm mounting plates and the crush tubes on the radius arm bushes. Enough room to slip a cutting device in anyway. You could alos spead the plates a wee bit (3-4mm) if needed as they're only going to get pulled back together when you tighten your radius bolts up again.

Can't do it, they have very strong entry qualifications into N.Z. and he would'nt get past the MAF pest inspections :finger:

Ok got the one on right hand side turning freeling but the left hand is being recalsitrant, a bit of movement so i'll keep spraying and turning
