nicer seats for GQ

has anyone changed the seats in their GQ to get a more comfortable ride? I want something that will basically bolt straight in, so are there better options for lumbar support in a GQ Ti seat or maybe even a GU Ti seat? Anyone know of anything else that requires no mods to fit?

Check the requirements out for seat mods in your state.... I'm pretty sure it may need to be engineered if it's altered from factory standard. This would limit you to replacing seats with the same seats from the same vehicle range ie GQ. which would not require a engineers report.

Screwy screwball replaced his seats with recaros I think ..... he now has to get them engineered, ..... its not the seat so much as the attachment method .

When I got a new drivers seat from Aerotech (www.aerotech.com.au) I brought there base and was told it was engineered so all I they had to do was bolt the sucker in which would have been a 10min job except I had relocate the air compressor as the new seat mount hit it.

Just put a paratus seat in my gq ute and no more sore back after a drive!
Pump up lumbar support too.
Looks pretty good and feels good on the back.
Comes with a mounting kit that is piss easy to put in.
Also need to get blue plate in qld (which I have)

Cheers

too much!!!
It was really only cause I don't have any time to go to a toyota import place and get a cheap recaro or something similar.
I had to pick up my truck from getting the exhaust done and got it from there.
Will be paying for it for a while but my back wont be sore. (bad back's suck!)

Just an idea. You are after better lumber support.

There is other options. You could go to a Motor Trimmer and have them modify your existing seats padding to suit your needs, then get them to modify the seat cover to suit, this way will keep the trim the same. This way you won't have to worry about engineering or the like.

If it's quite simply wanting a lumbar support, again head off to a Motor Trimmer, and they should be able to supply an Air Bag style Lumber Support, which is simply fitted inside your seat and has a small air pump on a hose (similiar to the things used to check blood pressure).

They are just options to consider.

Went to a trimmers and when he saw my seats no rips just dead flat bottoms he told me to go to a jap wreckers as it would cost heaps more to modify my seats than by some cool imports .I also want to no will GU seats fit in a GQ if so ill go for a wrecked GU TI
