Timing

Post by david123 »

Timing is a bit of a mystery to me, but, I know well that the higher the octane, the more advance to put you dizzy.

ok, so who has played, what initial timing do you have for say 98 octane or 105 octane.

If you have altered, have you had the dizzy springs altered.

What power or fuel decreases have you found.

I have altered my initial timing by 4°, seems that I have more hold power, like as in, she has more torque with advanced timing and running 105 octane.

Should advance more, should I get my dizzy out and send it to a specialist to alter the timing curve ?
If it breaks, excellent, time for an upgrade
