Scenic Rim Challenge Round 5 31st October

Post by harrisbm »

The event is promoting the sport of 4wd and has been a great success so far. Some of the tracks ended up harder to drive than 1st expected in the last round.
This event will see the creation of a new creek track that hasn't been driven and a bonus line for those with cages that will have the crowd cheering.

I WILL have my brakes fixed by then and my transfer lever sorted out, with quite possibly a whole new box.

Hopefully can do better than last time.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee will be there to go one better. The Jeep went home red faced when it found out it was beaten by a Hilux 4Runner in the Moddified section.

Aint gonna happen, a Hilux can't be that lucky twice :P

I am still surprised that we can't find a Landcruiser or Patrol to match it with the big boys ( Hilux and Jeep) :P :P :P in the modified section.

By the way, I really enjoyed the video, even though it showed the Jeep winching out of the bog.

I'll be there representing the Landcruiser category if I can get these brakes/gearbox sorted.

We will be in a different class but we will most likely do most of the same tracks so we should see the Jeep/Surf comparison.

And a broken tail light. After I got myself out the next vehicle which was double locked was stuck in there and it took 45 minutes to get him out. After that they cut down several trees and laid them over the muck.

They cancelled this stage after a few Outlaws had a play.

Your 80 would have made it though.  We will see you there at the next one with the Trepadors.

Ok exagerate just a little, actually what I told him was to get some stock sized mud tyres because he may be the only driver in the stock section and could easily take out 1st prize............

ie because there are no Jeeps and Hilux's in the stock section :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
