Are 60 series axles any stronger than the later 40 series ones ?

They seem to be pretty much the same apart from width, is this the case ?

As in 84 model ie after the earlier 40 series diffs which I beleive had a different spline on the axles which wasn't as strong ??

Basicaly, 80 series rear (centre only) 60 series and 40 series diffs are the same, it's the widths and brakes that are different, CV's and Centres are the same

aren't 62 series diffs laminated/braced from the factory? I think I remember reading that somewhere on here a while ago..
