Winch control box on a GU

I am sort of stuck as to where to mount the control box on my GU. Ordinarily, it could be mounted between 2 spotlights in the centre of the bullbar, except I have 4 lights there, so no room. I dont want to mount it low on the front of the bar, beside the winch, for obvious reasons. I have considered cutting the black plastic filler panel behind the grill and in front of the radiator support panel and mounting it there, with the control plug facing up. Now I am thinking of mounting it in the right rear corner of the engine bay, between the black charcoal canister bracket and the firewall. Fabbing up a mount for it isnt a problem. And there is a second battery going in, so it cant go there.
Any suggestions or ideas from those who have fitted a winch to a GU?

I recently fitted mine to my gu made a small bracket and was fitted in between the spot lights however im running two.
Just food for though do you really need 4 lights when probably you could get two efficient lights... i.e. upgrade them with a HID kit will also improve airflow particularly once you fit a winch you will be reducing airflow so your temps will increase.

I'm using a wireless warn controller with the controller under the bonnet out of the way and the mud and water.
I agree with weeman about the lights.

2 of the lights are already HID- Cibie Super Oscars, and the pair of Roolights will probably also get the same attention soon. You cant have enough out here at night. Theres heaps of roadkill around at the moment, and there is still loads of feed in the paddocks. Cant wait till I head home at night once things have dried right out.
I have been watching my temps, and there doesnt seem to be any increase since fitting the extra 2 lights, and again since fitting the winch.
