Ute tank into wagon chassis

Whats involved in fitting a GQ ute tank into a wagon chassis (now has a ute cab) ? Is the chassis very different?

i think there are some differences why do you want to do it? wagon is a 95l tank and ute 90l..

actually want to run both. Already got a long range wagon tank in it. Couple of big trips planned. dont want to mess about with jerry cans.

If any one has a ute tank out of a car I will try it as the tray is off mine at the moment.

I have had a quick look liam and it looks like it will be close.

the main tank is the same on all gq/gu's from memory. the only difference is the sub tank on GU's. The wagon one is only around 30l where as the ute is around 90 litres.
The chassis are pretty much identical.
To run the GU ute sub tank might have clearance issues with the cab. GU ute's floor has a big hump in the floor behind the seat to fit the sub

Are you talking leafy or coily ute tank?
The coily one will fit, just need to weld the a bracket to the cross members (its a piece of angle with 2 captured nuts)
The leafy one wont fit as the cross member for the upper trailing arms is in the way

Believe its a coily tank, owner reckons it's 110 litres, but i wont know until it gets here.
Its going into a GQ coily, was a wagon now rebodied ad a ute.
