Can anyone give me some info as to where to drill and tap a 75 series steering box for assist?
Any pump mods u can do on the 1hz pump for more flow?
Is there another steering box i could replace mine with that will fit and is better?
Cheers fellas!

look on pirate for IFS hilux box mods, it is similar enough for to work it out.

not really. it's gear driven so no pulley to change. the best thing you can probably do is keep your assist ram small, specially if you intend to drive it on the road. my limited experience with hydro assist is that it makes the steering slower - you can't turn it faster than the fluid can flow form one side of the cylinder to the other.

I don't think so. 7x series steering boxes are 'backwards' compared to most other cruisers. so if you took one form a 60 series say, it would bolt on but turn the vehicle left when you turned the wheel right. they are all the same size anyway. could maybe try a GQ leaf spring ute box, they are teh huge.

nothing hard about it!
pull it apart - put a port somewhere that picks up on each side of the 'piston' seals. every steering box uses the same principle.
as for the pump, you can modify the flow control valve, and you can also set the system relief fairly easily.
steering box should be fine, toyota boxes have the same size sector shaft as nissans so there is no big advantage there. Toyota seals are good for upto 3500psi, although the pump will die at above 2000psi (intermittant)
