UHF location

hey all
i have a 1989 hardtop sierra and am having dramas with where to mount my uhf.. it is a uniden sundowner uh-088. its a single DIN size.
any ideas and pics would be appreciated

being a single full din its a pain to find a spot out of the way. In a Hard top you could make a roof console for it. Otherwise hard up under the glovebox or on the tranny tunnel. personally id sell it and get a smaller one and they can be fitted where the ash tray is.

Hi bunder_ute,
It is hard to fit a DIN size radio in a zook nicely. I have a soft-top, and this is what I did with my 2 remote face radios:
As B4T mentioned, there's plenty of radios available that will fit in the ash tray hole. Here is some new ones from GME to check out:

that new one is awesome, i will definately be buying it soon. They are truly tiny, i am going to mound mine in between the dash and the bar acroos my dash from the roll cage. cheap too $299 at BCF
