79 series body roll issue

Hey,

I got a 79 series cruiser. I bought it with 4 ironman shocks. I have since replaced the front shocks with OME nitro's.

Cut a long story short, the car rolls really really badly, like i got no shocks at all. I am thinking of getting new springs for the front and get some air bags better leafs on the rear, hoping that will stiffen it up a bit and make it a tad more firm.

Cars done 175k and runs stock tyres

What should i do?

did you fully compress and relase the shock a few times before fitting it , in the upright position?

I didnt fit them, ARB did. I would say not. They have seemed to have get spongier?

Last i checked it was there. :?

It feels like the car is going to come off the road or something. It rolls like a barrel

I hear that the 79 series are the same as 100 series in terms of wheels/suspension etc?

Why not try front and rear anti roll bars? Stiffening the springs will make your car more uncomfortable.

like sway bars?

the front sway bar seems to be fine. I dont think the back has one. Can you get one or seomthing?

79 series coils are narrower... rear shocks are different too.

It may seem fine, but why not upgrade it to something better? if there is no rear one, fit one, the 76 wagons probably have one you could adapt

compare your swaybar to that of a V8. i think mine would go up on 2 wheels before it rolled around on road. my swaybar is about 25mm thick.

Nah they are 16x8 275/70. However im getting 285/75 on saturday.

Just been looking at the car more closely lately and it seems to slag and lean when parked. the front seems to be getting lower and lower?

Im going to take it back to ARB and tell them the situation
