when i clean the methanol out of my carbys i soak them in clean premium unleaded.

then i get some cheapo carby cleaner and give it a spary, then rinse it in the premo again, then everything gets a soaking in wd 40 to keep it all lubed up!

the petrol will get all the oil, grese and crap off, but wont budge the carbon build up, thats where the carby cleaner comes into play!

Ah ok.. I'm kinda looking for the carb cleaner that comes in the pressure pack, but in bottled liquid form I guess.. Something powerful to bust all the gunk up, but not so powerful that it busts the alloy body up.. Something I can soak it in over night..

Kleenbreak industrial kitchen cleaner from Milestone, great for cleaning carby parts ,good degreaser an only $24 for 5 litres
Just dilutes in water to what ever strength you want or use it in a spray bottle straight
Last carby i did i just rinsed with a bit of unleaded an then blew it out with air
