Front axle seal size for GQ and GU Please

Post by Willy Hilux »

Can someone help out with the inner axle seal for the front diff please for the GQ and GU. OD and ID would be good.

I want to make up a tool to knock these in straight. Look in the for sale section at the hilux one I've made up.

44mm on the OD on the steel part, and 30.5 ID on the rubber. measured with a rule, don't have a vernier here.

I'd be interested in one!

Cheers, Is that GQ or GU or are they the same??

30.5mm is small. Hilux have larger axles then Nissan's. They must be weak.

Yep they are the same. We just checked last weekend.
I have some in my toolbox but no verniers either.
