Confirm my Tyre choice is OK

Hi guys, there seems to be a lot of these threads, but just want to make sure I'm getting the right thing before I hand the cash over the counter this weekend.
Going to get some Mickey Thompson 4rib ATZ in a 265/75R16LT and put on a 16x8 steel rim (ROH Black Trak mostlikely). ($355 for the tyres FYI)
I'm asking for a Pajero or Patrol offset (in case Pajero isn't available apparently Patrol isn't too far off).
Is that all spot on?
No lift - 99 GL NL Petrol.
Cheers!

i may be wrong, but im under the impression that the offset of the rims are as follows
pajero, +10mm
landcruiser, -12mm
patrol, -22mm
looking at that im pretty certain i have the cruiser values wrong, but i know pajero and patrol offsets are worlds apart, what size were stock tyres? if you are going wider tyres with no lift i would be inclined to errr on the side of caution and chose either a cruiser or patrol offset
355 is both tyre and rim?

$355 was tyre only. Not a great price, but should be pretty good rubber.
I thought Pajero was 0offset, Patrol -10ish and Cruiser -20something?
In one of the FAQ threads its makes it sound like Patrol offset is ok. Original tyres on my model (GL) are tiny, but I think the up-spec models run wider ones?

I recon for what it's worth, for that type ot money why not muddies. That seems like a lot of money per tyre. If you havn't done a suspension lift yet your gunna need to. For about $150 you can get 2" raised rear springs and wind up the front tortion bars, easy as mate, all DIY.

My understanding of factory offset, not ROH or CSA offset
pajero, +10mm
landcruiser, -12 or -22mm
patrol, 0mm
So patrol offset is fine, and a quite popular choice to give the vehicle a slightly wider stance.

Our pajero does a lot of on-road kms and after having 33" Cooper STTs on my last car, I'm not really keen on muddies - too much noise, too little benefit.
The ATZ are quite aggressive for an AT as well. Seem like a perfect touring/camping tyre from the info I've seen around the internet.
Mad Mac - They seem to be more like the numbers I've seen before. I'll look for Patrol rims I think for slightly fatter stance.

I agree with Mad Mac's numbers too. My GLS factory alloys were +10mm, and my Mullins "Patrol" steel rims are zero offset.
Be careful buying aftermarket "Patrol" rims. At least one brand lists a -13mm offset for "Patrol", which will increase your track beyond the allowable limit (25mm). Well, what used to be the allowable limit. It might be a good idea to find out what it is this week.

Wow for the dollars... I got the 5rib ATZs for 250ea, fitted (thanks Fourbys), they're a different size to yours (uh, 31x10.5 15s), but Shee-ite! 5-ribs are a little less agressive than the 4, but they still hold their head.

Sounds like the going rate. How long ago did you get your tyres, prices have gone up a fair bit in last 12-18mths, so I went 2nd hand.

I did a bit more ringing around and found a place that did the tyres for $330 which is a bit more palatable. Still a lot though. Problem is they want $120 for the black steel rims! Will confirm the actual offset today/tomorrow before ordering.
I'm almost having second thoughts because of the price, but then I think I'll probably keep the car at least another couple of years and the tyres should last that long easily. So might as well get something I want for a few hundred more. And the girlfriend doesn't want to be seen driving a "soccer mum's" car so she's all for the black wheels etc.
I think tyre prices are in general a lot more these days. So many older websites and magazines have prices I'd dream about!

16 in wheels are generally a lot dearer over here in NZ (often double), not sure if that is relevant to you guys though.
Black wheels look terrible on a Paj! (My 2c
)

I hope they look good haha. It's a white paj, basic model with no flares or anything, so should look pretty 'tough' I'm hoping. Seen a few white discos / cherokees etc with black wheels and white body work and like the look.
Alloys are a too expensive anyway, so kinda stuck with the steel wheels and white is boring.

Today my brother got some prices on wheels & tyres for his 80 series. He was quoted $120 ea for steel, but didn't like the look. He's gone for 265/75R16 S/Ts on alloys - about $2800 for five.

I'd be looking at $2250 for 5 of the ATZ on black steels, same size tyre. Coudln't justify the extra going to alloys as I'm already stretching my budget. Not to mention the Paj isn't worth THAT much in the scheme of things.
Will give them a call today to get their final price and hopefully lock it in.

For those watching at home haha;
Price for tyres now at $320 but wheels at $125, fitted and balanced and $60 for a wheel alignment.
Although the lady at first said they can only do the wheels in white - and if I wanted black I'd have to paint them
She's now checking if they can source black wheels. It's a worry when you call some of these places and feel like you know more about the products than the people selling them.
If all goes to plan the Paj will have new shoes on Saturday.

Not for 16s. $100 ea for white would be a good price, anything else is typically more.

Wow - talk about making it difficult - apparently ROH no longer make black wheels !?
Really not keen on white, so the guy said he can organise getting white ones sandblasted and powdercoated black for $44 each. Ended up getting it sorted for $200. At least knocked the price of the wheels down a little as well.
But faark, probably would have been cheaper to get some nice second hand factory alloys, that would mostlikely have a lot better impact on resale down the track.
So in the end $2375 for the lot. Should just got 4 new Bridgestones and saved $1000+. Anyone in the market for a kidney?

ROH? What's the offset? If I recall correctly, ROH don't do a Pajero fitment, and their "Patrol" fitment is -13mm.
Did they give you a number for the offset, or just tell you "Fitment"?

From the shops I called (4) no one did the wheels any cheaper, and two other places that could do the tyres wanted another $20-$30 per tyre. It's not the cheapest way to get rubber on the car, but I was very limited for choice with 16x6 standard GL rims.
I'd be glad to hear of a shop that could do it substantially cheaper, as it will take them a week to get the wheels sorted - but I think most people are basing their prices of steel wheels on 15" models, purchased some time ago. Not to mention tyre prices have substantially risen in the last 6-12 months.
PS I got a few Private Messages with other places to try - cheers for those fellas! Can't believe how much stuffing around this is taking!

Had to 16x7 to get correct offset as they said don't come in 16x8 offset. While they didn't give me the actual offset measurement - I did point out that the offset had to be correct a number of times.
