Iv just picked up a set of 285/75 r16 silverstone mt117 sport tyres. Having never owned 16 inch tyres, what is the best size rim to run 16/7 or 16/8. I want to run steelies, can anyone suggest a place in Sydney to get a good price on some wheels?
Cheers

You will need -45mm offset to avoid scrubbing with the 2007 model Corollas, but apparently they don't scrub with the recently released update model using standard offset -22mm Cruiser rims.
I've also succesfully fitted a 0mm offset to my wheelbarrow without too many issues (i had to trim the front support frames a bit).
Dude. What sort of car are we talking about??

285's require 16x8 wheels......with the correct offset to suit your vehicle.

Its a 95 live axle HiLux. Good work on your wheel barrow sounds like a beast

Be very careful about which wheels you buy. Get the tyre place to spin some up on the balancer (no tyre) so you can see how true they are. It may surprise you how TERRIBLE some of them are.
I ended up buying Dynamic rims. They were the best I found by far, in a Sunraysia style rim.

I have 16x8 with a neg 25 offset Infinity Sunraysias on my Hilux, no problems with them. They do stick out of the guards a little but nothing some flares can't fix

I have 285 x 75 x 16 Coopers A/T on standard GU rims, on a GQ with no problems with clearance etc

GU rims won't fit on a live axle Hilux, I tried as I had a set given to me. They hit on the tie rod end.
