hi guys, just wondering how tough gu cv's are, im entering the cq challenge in november and will be running 37" trepadors. ive had a ball bearing upgrade on the turbo and had the fuel adjusted (not sure of power figures). im starting to think the cvs arnt gunna handle it. i havnt got the tires yet so cant get out and give the cvs a good test.

depends how you drive it, with a little respect they will be fine.

Advanti racing did tuff truck on stock gu cv's on 40" stickies without breakage.

thanks nastytroll, i will just have to control myself ( sometimes i get excited). are they any different than gq's? as i have had mates break them countless times. although they do get a hiding to.

theres a 20 page thread on the topic, they are different to GQ and much stronger at that.

much bigger in size to gq, I have not broken a gu cv yet, only an auto hub. I have broken 6 std gq cv and 4 heat treated cv.

thay are ok. just try and keep your wheels straight when you give it to it that will help the cv's
