im in the process of buying a front diff, and im wondering if anyone can pls help me out with the brakes?
i hav a 93 so the upgraded brakes but wondering if the diffs are the same as the early models?
as in if i get an early model diff that is runing 15's do i just have to change my rotor over and it will all be the same?
any help greatly appreciated!!!!

As far as brakes go you will have to swap over the backing plates, rotors, calipers and most likely the brake lines. The later brake lines are differnet part number but I've not looked at both closely to see how close they are in length and angle of banjos etc to see if they cross fit.
There are some Cv differences in later models but I don't know the details to know if they affect you.
Why are you chasing another housing, what's wrong with the one you have.

ALL 80 series front diffs wil fit 15" rims, it was the rear brakes that caused the problems

i bent my front housing. the lhs has a monster kick back. hit stuff a little hard lol
crankycruiser - so does that mean that they are all the same except for the diff ratios?

NO.
ALL 80's run 4.1 ratio
the 93 upgrade did have bigger brakes on the front as well, but u can still run 15" wheels on the front.
AFAIK the housings themselves are the same
