I went the plunge and had fitted a set of Genie extractors with a hi-flow cat (from a Guppydore) with a 2.25" exhaust and hi-flow muffler.
With the body lift he managed to tuck it up nice and high (the muffler is at least 3" higher than before).
First impressions were MUCH improved throttle response and definitely more power there particularly in the mid range.
Also it has a nice sporty note but not too loud.
It goes in next week to be dyno tuned with some further tinkering planned

Hi Bitsa,
good to hear that it worked for you, it's a totally different car to drive with the mods isn't it? Let me know if you think there is any improvement in the torque below 2000 rpm in your 3.0L, I certainly gained a lot in my 3.5 DOHC. I would be interested to see the dyno results when they are done, a pity you don't have any "before" figures for comparison.
The only sad thing is that you become used to the extra power after a while and don't notice it as much. Luckily that beautiful V6 burble stays on to keep you happy .

3.5 L with too much stuff, and a front locker waiting on the shelf.
From what I've been told by people that have converted to the larger throttle bodies is it does give noticeably more power but it's top end stuff only.
I'm after low to mid range power increases otherwise I'd do the mod.
RPW sell the larger throttle bodies (around $450) on a changeover basis I think.
