AFAIK it should have constant vacuum while engaged and then the hose needs to vent to atmosphere to disengage.

But, they are known for being a little bit slow to disengage and sometimes take a bit of driving/turning/reversing after they've been switched off.

your unlock solenoid is buggered

if you want it to unlock, keep the switch on the LOCK position and then swap the vacum lines on the solenoids, it will unlock pretty much instantly.

jessie928 is spot on: i had the same trouble and kept the switch engaged and swapped the lines and it disengages instantly. just a pain in the a$$ cos you have to get out, pop the bonnet and swap them each time you wanna use it.

i bought a replacement solenoid from pneutech in ringwood (vic) for about $170 which apprently works a treat. just need to find out how to install it now......

PM me on ORE. I know these lockers inside out. have replaced solenoids and rebuilt the locking dog gears in the diff. It goes in and out like an ARB now.
