Guys i have a set of 5 of these wheels at home that were given to me by a mate, however i'm sure there are two different varieties of them depending on the suspension setup
can any one tell me the difference between the two and how to identify it?
I have access to a wheel balancer (like anyone does) to check the offest, but that's about it.
Any help would be appreciated

That really makes no sence....
LIVE axle would be 0 offset. IFS would be about 40mm (?)
So live axle rims have 'deep dish' and IFS have No dish. There is definately not just a 5mm difference in offset!
Lazy axle is the extra un-driven axle, on a 4x6 conversion....

yeah good job.
(i can tell the difference between AU and Pre Au wheels in a flash if that helps me.)
it's definately the live axle.
and the lazy has a 60P offset according to the NJOY book.

Nope... but maybe:
Au offset is 35mm (Close to IFS cruiser) and EL is 0mm (like Solid axle)

You are still confusing lazy axle with independent front suspension. Lazy axle is wheels with NO drive. IFS wheels still have power going to them!
Don't know what this NJOY book is, but the steel IFS wheels are 40mm offset.

because the 100 series has the IFS and IFS track is wider that solid front diff(105 series) they widened the rear 100 diff to. hence 100 series rims not have as much "dish " in the rims as 105 series
