Ford Courier Roof and Centre Console

I have a 2005 Ford Courier Dual Cab 4x4.

I am currently looking for a roof console and centre floor console for my ute. I have been looking around a little bit and have come up against some very exhorbitant prices for the both. Not sure which one i want to get at the moment whether it's a floor or roof console. I am wanting to mount a UHF and a switch panel for spotlights and airhorn etc.

Wanting to know if anyone knows a local bloke (Melbourne) that makes up consoles or a supplier that makes them for a reasonable price.

Would be great to hear if anyone has any contacts. Thanks in advance.

what do you call reasonable, and what do you consider exhorbitant?

Why's that? Do you know someone?

$800 (fitted) for a roof console i would consider a bit rich and the floor consoles i just looked at are about $400-$500.

The price for the floor console isn't too bad but still shopping around. Got any suggestions?

Try Rono consoles up here in QLD.

I got one for our Patrol. It is similar to the one he makes for the 200series cruiser. He made it the way I wanted it and it only cost me about $50 extra. I got ours with an opening on both sides (you can put your hand right through). The pieces he cut out for the openings he sent me as well as I wanted to make doors out of them (which I did). He also sent me a piece of carpet to match the console which I covered the doors with. Cost around $430 sent to my door. (all up it is around 1.4m long)

I don't have any two way's or HF radios in there, it is only for storing sunnies, caps, epirb, sat phone (when we travel) and other assorted crap.

Admittedly they are not the best looking console out there but it was the only one that I could have modified to the way I wanted without major costs

I did have to modify the hole where the rear original interior light goes as the hole wasn't big enough, but that was an easy job with a burring bit in the battery drill. And I used the original front interior light as well.

I will try to get some photo's in the next few days if you like.
