Buggy springs

Ok guys can some one help me out, im thinking about doing the buggy leaf conversion to my rear springs on my 86 sierra tray, can anyone tell me the right way to do it, length etc, or moving the rear shackle back more is best, using the bigger hole end on a old sierra spring is better than the small end, is it able to use on the road, its it illegal, some disadvantages and advantages? come on my little helpers. I have had this on my Zuk for probably 5-6 years now and think it is great. I have a SPUA using 2.5" Old Man Emus and the buggy leaf is a cut down stock rear main spring. I cut the shackle mount off and then attached the buggy leaf to the chassis with two trailer ubolts.
If I could do it again I would have used a longer rear sring to extend my wheelbase but i can't now as I've shortened my chassis.
Is it legal, it appears it can be easily engineered if you have a system that allows you to pin it in place for on road use. However I have never had any problems with it, the ubolts have never come loose, the springs haven't behaved strangely at all.
As it is effectively lenghening your springs it tends to soften the ride improves flex. In a spoa application it may perform n a completely different manner but in spua it is fine

Yeah thanks grimbo, just a couple more questions, how can i use a pin system to lock it off? any ideas? Also a mate said i might need a sway bar or torsion bar, would i? did you put the upside down buggy spring in the centre of the underneath of the chassis? because the schackle mount is offset outwards 10mm or so? Cheers mate. Nice car to, Mick from suzi world was talking it up to me, then i saw it in 4x4 month i now i know what he is talking about.

It's just you, we all took a vote and decided that you shouldn't be allowed to view pics.
Actually haven't you noticed there are no pics at the moment and haven't been any for over a week
