patrol air con condensor fan

Post by antpoo69 »

hi all,

i've got a 91 model TD42 patrol. my question is........ the small thermo fan on the air conditioning condensor. how important is it. is it a problem if it's not working or can it cause a problem if it doesn't cut in and the system gets too hot.

just wanna know so i don't have to go chasing wires to try and get it working again.....

Without it your head pressure will get to high as there will not be sufficent sub cooling in the condensor and the a/c compressor will cut out for longer than it's on.

I took mine off cause it was getting in the way. But its mostly only gonna cause a drama when the cars sitting due to a lack of airflow across the condenser.
Honey i cut the car in half!
