hey
i got a few electrical problems. left home yesterday everything working fine. did a bit of beach work. and as soon as i pulled off the beach i realised the dash clock had gone on the fritz either showing nothing or 1:91 as the time etc. not happy but i can live with that went home washed down the car. went to leave work today after a bit of rain for the first time in months. then i realised when ever i hit the brakes my high beam dash light comes on. and when i turn the parkers or low beams on the high beam light comes on. flick it to high beam and the dash light goes out.

pulled up. also realised i had no brake lights and tail lights checked the fuse, sure enough it was blown, borrowed one from the head lights and it was workin for a bout a block. next min its gone and its back to its old tricks.

what could cause these probs, im guessin there unrelated,
any help would be great.

Mine used to do this a lot - fix = 30 amp fuse
Solves the problem but doesnt address the issue

i dont like that idea, id prefer to fix the prob not cover it. to many bigger problems from quick fixes like that.

mine is a bit of a submarine tho it only use to happen after underwater work, normally not straight away but once its sat in its own dampness
for a while. No probs in 3yrs with upgraded fuse,

The high beam light also comes on sometimes if your rear tailight wiring is loose and a live wire earths out and pops the fuse. Then it will come on when you touch the brake pedal - stick your head under and check the back of em.

are you running stock rear lights?

i had a similar problem from corrosion in my rear lights. Pull the cover off and take a look inside, mine were full of mud and rust.

worked it out. the wires to the left tail lights had fallen onto the exhausts and melted the insulation. taped them up new fuse and its all good. my clock is even workin properly now to.
