Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey all,

I have a couple of quick questions regarding a 1987 Toyota Hilux 4x4.
Firstly, can I fit a std front bumper from a 90's model Hilux to my 87 model ?
Secondly, I want to convert the ignition system to electronic but I need some pointers as to whats invloved and parts I'll need.

Any help will be much appreciated.

hi stuart not sure on the bumper but i think all you need for the electronic ignition is the elec dizzy and a new coil to suit at least thats all i had to do with my 86 lux

Hi, I just put electronic ignition on my 84 hilux. It has a 3Y in it. I just got a later model electronic ifnition and it went straight in. It has the coil in the dizzy cap so I got rid of the old one and wiring and connected the new one straight in. Very easy operation and made a big differance.

hey the bumper wont bolt on i think (the 90model has a wider mounting points then the 87model) cause i have a 87model with a 90model bullbar (cause they look better) but with a but of chopping and welding it narrower all fits well but dont hold me to it the bumpers mite be the same but the bullbars arnt

Not that one specifically but the same brand and suited to the 4y.
They pop up in aus ebay stores every now and then, works perfectly.
