Pre-purchase Sierra check?

Post by blackmav »

I have to look at a Sierra tray back ute for an interstate mate on Sat.
Other than the normal stuff whats the Zuk specific areas to be given special attention?
Its a 1.3 5 speed. Standard everything else. Farmer special.
but not from a farm.

Also he may want me to drive it up to him, in the N.T. :)
Its only 3900kms away from here.
What the cruising speed
and whats the fuel consumption like?

Thanks.

My parents drove from perth to darwin a few times in LJ50/Lj80's before the roads were bitumised! So a sierra would a big improvement on that!
Just check the whole undercarriage, sill's, and the seams on the top of the guards for rust. If there's no rust in any of those places you've got your self a good zook!
