I need the 4 studs that bolt the turbo on to the exhaust manifold removed and dont want to pull the manifold off.

studs are still good, but need some oxy heat before they might budge.

Any takers? or know anyone who will?

You lost me with that one. The idea is to remove them and put new ones in.

if the turbo is already off, what the big deal about taking the manifold off?
it would be far quiker the take the manifold off to do it.

If you are worried about the turbo studs you should also be worried about the manifold studs.

Every one I have ever done has been a pain in arse and ended up snapping.

Then you have to easy out or drill and re-thread.

Both options are a pain in the butt if you don't have the right tools.

yeah tried two nuts even after preheat with a gas torch. Usually always works but this time there rusted shut good and proper. Could try and weld the nuts to create a heap of heat first but still might make it worse than it already is.

Thanks for the offer of help, will let you know later in the week. no great rush, stil need to finish the gear box rebuild

spray them twice a day with Boltoff for a week and they will come out using jam nuts.

all done. I got a can of loctite freeze stuff from the bearing shop and when that didnt work i got the old stick welder and welded the nuts on and 2 came out and i snapped 2. rewelded the nuts on the other 2 and they came out.
