Hi fella's,
I'm wanting to put 60 series power steering on my hj 47 and am wondering if any one has done it and could tell me what and how. I think the engine mount/bracket is different (the angle at the body) so what do I do about this, and the front pulley; -will a 60 series one fit straight on or is it too wide and will hit the radiator mount?? If so, how do you deal with this?? Also, do you need to use a 60 steering column as I would prefer to keep the 40 one if possible (or easy) Answewrs to these and any other questions I may need to know would be appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

There's a couple of threads in the cruiser bible in this section, as well as the thread that's currently near the top that I started, these have pretty much what you need to know. :)

ok matt

Firstly there are two diffrent 2h blocks a early and a late main diffrece is the timmingcase if you can find a early 60s,you will be able to get the ps pump and harmonic ballancer from that vehicl as the block type is the same the engine mount and pump will not alter the angel of the motor. you will also need a 75s viscous hub and fan to clear the balancer and subsequently move the radiator about 25mm forward for clearance. if you llok at the 45series ps conversion thread that will tell you all you want about keeping the coloum. i also do have some picks on my build up thread
