Toyota Hilux 5L engine shakes at idle

Just wondering whether anyone else out there has had the same problem as me with their 3ltr (5Lengine) non turbo diesel injector pump? It is a 2002 Hilux (Australian version) dual cab truck
Since around 110000km my motor has started shaking quite violently at times when idling with the aircon running. I have spoken to a couple of different diesel specialists who have both said that it is a common problem with this motor/pump and that it has something to do with a worn pump housing.....the only way to cure the problem is to get a new/rebuilt injector pump.
