Hi I have a carby 16v 1600 out of a swift and was looking at putting a center point injector off a falcon as well as a turbo.
I know it has been done but cant find any info on appropriate ecu and any pick up points needed or wiring diagrams. I have heard that a mazda ecu can be used but not sure which model. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the topic

n13 pulsar had center point injection as well and they are 1.6lt so you could possibly get the complete injection and computer from that

The car it came out of was a a Wt LWB . This car was used as a beach buggy as what I can make out I brought it for $250, pulled out the driveline and dumped it. It has a webber carbie on it , The harmonic balancer pully has a v belt pulley closest to main seal with a multigroove pully on output side. It appears to have Ben T adapter plate to connect it to sierra 5speed.
It could of very well had different injection manifolds on it at some stage. This car was bastardized to the highest degree. The guy I brought it off, got it off ebay for over $3000. And got it trucked up from down south. once delivered the seller was un contactable ever after. poor bastard

its an import 1.6 16 valve that originaly ran a high pressure slide type carby (hence someone put a crappy weber on it).
not an aussie spec engine.

if you plan on keeping it legal it has to run 1.6 swift tb injection.

Just to add , you will not be able to put a 16v vitara intake manifold on this head . The head does not have the extra porting above the intake to clear the injector . I guess you could get them cut into the head .

These engines were available new in NZ ( ie not grey imports) in the 4dr sedan swift from about 92 onwards I believe . I would expect that this would be the case over there ( but only guessing) if they were imports I would have expected them to have the TBI system .

Cheers
