Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Can anyone tell me what seats they have put into their cars that can replace these terribly uncomfortable seats they have in the Vitara Estate Wagons?

The 94 LWB seats aren't any better either.

GTI swift, VRX lancer, 4 sets of recaros, SAAS, Drift, and XR6.

Just take some measurements of your current seats (ie, width across the shoulders and base) and go to the wreckers and start measuing and sitting

Worry about the fitting once you have found some seats that YOU are happy with.

My LWB had Cobra Monarco Racing seats in it when I bought it
Wouldn't recommend that

But guts is right, most things will fit but try some Jap import places they will have a selection of seats that will work.

I have been looking at some Drift seats at autobarn, for me they are bloody comfortable. When you say Drift, do you mean, they are easy to put into suzuki's?

Most aftermarket seats are easy to put in any car, as they use a universal typre mounting configuration. All you need to do in most cases is make an adaptor from the seat base to your current rails. Tis the easiest way

I have mine mounted to a roll cage in my sierra. Very nice seats, but not the cheapest around.

The vitara's run an uneven seat rail set up, the inside one is up high on the trans tunnel & the outside one is on the floor. It needs some serious fab work to get them mounted properly...

If you're going to change them get the best seat you can find. My 2004 XL-7 leather seats are nothing to rave about- I certainly wouldn't recommend them as an "upgrade".

Thanks for that murcod as I was looking for seat "upgrade" options for my GV, as per my other post. I might keep on looking now.

I have a 93 Vitara and had the same problem, after a couple hours driving my back felt like i was 101 yrs old. Talking to a guy at a fourbie shop and he said as a quick fix buy the thickest and best sheep skin seat covers you can, i was unsure but decided that it is easier then trying to find different seats.
I must say i was amazed at the difference, we now often drive all day on dirt and blacktop and heaps better. Still not the most comfortable seats around but i am happy with the covers and now will not be changing the seats.
Just thought this might help even if it is only a temp solution for you.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Thought I might try some good quality foam for the seat and mold some foam in the lumber area and use some velcro to hold it in place. With a seat cover on you would never know. If this doesn't work I think I will try the swift gti seats from an older model car.

try nissan sylvia seats , they are best for me and cheap
