One is a Ford the other a Nissan.

One is supported by a bastard company the other an arsehole company.

But parts are interchangeable.

i think most if not all mavericks have the silver rocker cover motors. These had stronger internals made for turbos. Where past 93 patrols went to the black top td42s which had lighter duty internals although better reving apparently.

both made by nissan, one had different colour and trim. Aside from the outside badges everything says nissan. "Manufactured by nissan motor company" should be a dead give away.

I would be supprised if ford offered any support for the mav.

its a nissan td42. only thing different was the badge on the grill guards and barn door. all the rest is straight out of the nissan factory.
also ford dont have any sort of parts resale for them all must go thru nissan, and off memory last time i checked nissan does take the ford vin number if they ask.
