Does anyone have a u-tube link on how to replace these. That is if I get passed the stuffed allen key bolts on the locking part of the hub. I have that freeze stuff to assist but the bolts are stuffed and wont accept metric or imperial. I have some of those star type things in a socket set. The mechanics suggest wacking those in to remove and replace. This is my first attempt at 4wd bearings so if there is a video link or your own pics and narrative, please assist.

better still come around and do them for me :bad-words:

Use a hammer and cold chisel to tap the bolts loose. Replace them with new ones from Supacrap.

Once the outer FWH is off, locate the circlip on the outer end of the inner splined axle, remove the circlip. Undo the 5 large allen key bolts, then remove the FWH body.

Remove the 2 bolts that hold the caliper in place.

Clean the centre of the hub as best you can, and using a hammer and screwdriver or chisel, locate the bent over locking washer tab on one of the flats of the outer bearing locking nut. Tap it back to the vertical, then tap the outer lock nut loose, and remove. Remove the locking washer, then tap loose the inner lock nut. The hub should then come off.

I got one side apart and it is quite a easy job. All apart from 1 allen key bolt on the locking hub, all 10 were rounded by the previous owner so I'm happy I got all but one out. I've drilled a hole in in but will have to wait until tommorrow to buy a easy out tool.

cheers for the reply. It wasn't that hard in the end.
