winch rope

i need to replace my winch cable just wondering if i should just use steel cable again or by some plasma rope what are the pros and cons for both

Mate if the extra cost is not a prob, and you dont drag it over rocks all day long, then go with rope for sure

wire rope is cheap
synthetic is light, easy to lug around, wont take your head off if it snaps but you need to take a bit more car with it if you want it to last
