Outer Limits 4x4 Board

after starting xj, after revs have settled the Gen light comes on and stays on. have measured the charging and she is still charging at 13.8v. what could this be. need help urgently as I want to attend yearly get together in 2 weeks and need to sort it out even though it is charging.

I know it's obvious, but have you checked that the battery connections are both clean and tightly fitted?

sounds like a rectifier/regulator problem...
computer not being able to register the fact that the alternator is actually working.
