Rear leaf replacement

Hi
I scored a new set of rear leaf springs and poly bush kit from TJM for my narrow track feroza. A mechanic mate reckons they are easy to swap and I am thinking about DYI. I was wondering if anyone has had any hassles doing this and if they need adjusments etc or any general info? Also how much to cheat and pay the shop to do it ?

Thanks
Jim

Pretty easy job, I am going through the paces at the moment, except the new leaves I got havent got enough lift, so out they come again to be reset, and an extra leaf or 2 added.

pretty easy mate, i did it and i'm a computer geek by trade

hardest thing i found was getting the hole in the springs to line up with the locating bolt thing on the spring perches... used a bit of mechanical muscle (hand winch) to get it to line up. some kind of lever like a pry bar would prolly do it too....

i used rubber bushes, recomment useing rubber grease cos mine squeaked really bad after a lot of mud and flexing... dunno if ya need it for poly tho...

Yes,
Pretty easy job. Not much more I can say.
Don't be afraid to put the rear wheels on and slowly drop the vehicle down with the jack so the spring straightens out, allowing the bushed end to line up with the shackle.

If you get stuck give me a call for some help.
