okay, have a set of liftewd springs(6"), and they seemed to have collapsed or shall we say sagged alot, there are 2 pics below, one of a good spring, and one of a bad spring. my question to you all is, have any of you had this happen to you before, because the spring supplier which i shall not name at this point, says this sort of thing happens evrynow and then, as it has to do with the type of spring and they wat it sits.

the spring supplier wont replace it as its about 14months old and just so happen to have a 12 month warrenty, and the the spring fitter wont replace it cause the supplier wont cover the costs.

My question to you all, would be, if this doesnt happen all the time, would it not be a defective spring?

Opinions greatly appreciated fellas.

coils can be overstressed and fail.
If its lasted this long then its probably not faulty just been stressed once to often.
Coils are often on the limit esp long travel ones.

basically just normal felx offroad stress's them
compression aswell as extension
the whole process.....same as leaf springs

but as i've said to u before
try diff place......pretty sure u got yours from same place as my first set

get a firmer spring also for the rear
ryan at snake sourced a set for me that worked well......the ones my truck was running up the watagans

not entirely sure
but think they were still dobinsons springs.....they were the aqua blue sorta colour i think.......unless they were my big ones.....cant honestly remember

but think ryan may have still been dealing with mannell at that stage
but they were the firmer ones
the softer ones dont tend to hold up

and besides , dont need soft in back of a GQ , they flex fine with almost anything
