wiring up a louder horn?

I bought this lately...

Need to know how to wire it up. This is a dual horn kit, my courier only has the one disc horn.
Can i splice the wires for the single horn disc and run the two in line?
Hoping this will be a louder and better horn than the standard shit one that is fitted to my courier.

You really need to run a relay to get the full benefit with adequate size wiring. You could also just get a horn from something like a Commodore and swap it out with the standard one.

As PJ said you WILL need a relay(about $7) for air horns to wire it up. Its a piece of piss mate just follow the directions and you cant go wrong. Make sure you use proper connectors and crimp to your wires otherwise you run the risk of shorting it out or the wires falling off.

Edit: Well just looked at your link and seeing as its not compressor driven you may get away with out a relay but if it was me I would still wire it up with one.

speaking of horns, does anyone know what cars came out with deep bellowing horns? i dont like the squeak i get outa mine...

Old school Rangies have a pretty decent horn
Failing that, on a mates 80 we went to a truck wreckers and picked up an air horn, air solenoid/push button switch; great fun scaring school kids at the traffic lights

I had a horn issue (lack of loudness) so I grabbed a pair of Hella horns off an ED falcon today.
They are very damn loud. I made myself jump when I tested them.
I wouldn't fork for the ebay horns, I don't see how they would be of a standard as good as the Hella etc branded ones put into cars at the factory.
I wouldn't call the falcon ones "deep" but they are not wussy and if you wanted to make someone shit their pants they would definitely do the job for you.

Yes use a relay! I put a set of hella air horn in my patrol and driving down the road at 3AM I hit the horn button while trying to turn the windscreen wipers on and they got stuck on!!
The stock setup couldn't handle it!

Doesn't need to be an aftermarket horn.
Years ago, in my old Galant, I was visiting a friend at her father's property in the country. The "drive" was long and bumpy, with a concrete bridge crossing a creek.
There was a step down off the creek, which I hit a little fast - when the front crashed down the horn came on, and wouldn't stop.
Not knowing which fuse to pull, I popped the bonnet and disconnected the horn. Then I noticed my friend and her father, watching from 100m away.
"Nice to meet you, sir."
I remember I figured out the problem, and fixed it. Don't remember the cause.
