extended shackles - need extended bump stops?

Hi there keen to build myself some extended shackles - 50mm on an MK Patrol shorty....wondering if it's important to extend the bumpstops or can the springs handle a little flex the other way? Standard, at full travel up, the springs are dead flat. I figure with the Ex shackles they will be forced to invert a little. The springs are pretty old and a bit sagged hence the shackle ext'. I have trimmed the guards a good 50mm or more, 50mm body lift and am running 36" Swampers. keen for ya thoughts....

won,t make a great deal of difference. 50mm extension will only lift the vehicle maybe 25mm.

You do know it prob not legal? That aside if you do this on the front of an MK/MQ Patrol the welds will break away from the chassis where the front hangers go.

Why will it break ? is there really a huge diffence in forces on the hangers? I'm assuming most of the force will be twist as the suspension articulates? I could brace the hangers with some gussets perhaps ?
on legality, it is a country vehicle and I figured if I did a good job and they weren't ridiculously long know one would even notice
