88 SD25 Nissan Navara Dashlights Help

Hey, can anyone help me with some info with this truck if you own a simlar model. Next to the Glow Plug light on the dash (on the right hand side) there is another light that comes on. It is orange and looks like a retangle with a line though it. Just want to know what it means and if it is meant to light up as well.
Also there is a knob at the bottom of the dash that has a symbol similar to an "Engine Warning Light" on the end of it. What is this used for. It has two positions of the knob being in, or clicked outwards.
If anyone has a similar truck would be handy to know. Didn't have an owners manual and can't find any info on net.
