Disco's

What year's did you get the lt230 in the disco's. Mates looking at gettin one and I warned him about the viscous center diffs and that lt230's were better option. Any help??

All Discos have LT230s, never any viscous. At the start of the Series 2s (1999??) they removed the actuator for the diff lock, so if you get tose models, you need to plan to add it back in.

I think the only issue was between late 2001 and the MY03 Disco's that had the CDL completely removed. Apart from that they are all good. As said, the Disco 2's up until late '01 still had the CDL, just not the switch gear.

Yes, I found this out from a mate in the club who has a 02 series 2, pretty stupid if you ask me!!
This would be the first thing I would fit Iif I had a S2 Disco, and it would be a V8 one (I HATE Diesels!!!!!!)

I have a 2000 DSII V8 with Ace and have recently installed the CDL. It would have to be one of the best accessories that you could add on. The Traction Control only needs to work half as much.
