Hey everyone,

i have just got my hands on a 87 SWB Pajero. Its a turbo diesel, just over 210,000ks on the clock and not only is it my first 4wd but my first car i can call my own.

My Dad got it from an import lot over 5 years ago and we have done many trips to moreton, fraiser and straddie and one bush trip out near toowoomba without any hassles at all. We have only had one major drama when it blew the head 2 years ago but it was rebuilt straight away. Dad has done some minor mods like 30' pirelli scorpion ATRs, new 4wd suspension and a shelf setup in the back.

Im no expert at all but i know my basics of mechanical knowledge so here is where you guys come in,

First up is paint damage, unfortunately when my dad got his new rodeo ute the poor paj got stuck in his visitors carpark at his place. now there is some pretty severe weather damage to the paint on the roof and bonnet.

i spent nearly all of today with the cut and polish working my ass off but as you can see it didn't work too well (those pics are after the clean).
what i need to know is if theres any products and steps i can use to bring the paint back to its former glory? or if there is someone i can take it to and if there is, how much will it hurt my wallet.

Second up is the slight sag in the front end, I've heard there is a way of adjusting it with your torsion bars but i've got no idea how. Is it possible to do with not much mechanical knowledge? people say its pretty easy, does anyone know of a step by step guide or something i can use?

just thought i'd introduce myself and say hi, thanks for reading.

welcome mate, you will find these guys on here very knowledgable. if you use the search feature you will find pretty much all you need to know about adjusting torsion bars.
about the paint work. all i can suggest is get them resprayed, reason being is that you clear is shot. Let ma know if your in toowoomba again and i will take ya out on some of the 4by tracks about that i just got shown. there are some good ones about here.

If you have trouble workin out the torsion bars (you should be alright with all the info on here) if you live around my area on the northside i will give you a hand to ajust them.

hey welcome to outers, as previously posted, use search function located at top of page, if you still need answers, post a new thread. if you need an expert on paj tech, pm scott or bitsamissan, be polite, those 2 guys know pretty much everything mitsubishi.
get an owners manual. but search is best for advice/info
have fun
